“I believe in creating homes with classical proportion, elegance, simplicity and, above all, comfort.”

About us

From our design studios in Perthshire and London’s Chelsea Design Quarter Mary Leslie and her team provide a complete interior design and decoration service.  Working closely with our clients we ensure that each commission is unique and personal to the client and the property.    Projects range from country houses, cottages and holiday homes to town houses, flats, rentals and turnkeys at home and abroad.

Whether clients ask for contemporary, traditional or transitional interiors the same creativity, resourcefulness and attention to detail come to bear.  The company has a particular reputation for looking after time limited or absent clients who can rest assured that the team will interpret and implement their aspirations with imagination, humour and efficiency.

Mary Leslie

Mary Leslie’s reputation for delivering creative, sympathetic and practical interiors has made her a sought after designer both at home and abroad. She graduated from the Inchbald School in 1981 and after periods in London and Berkshire ran Nina Campbell’s Interior Design Department for nearly 8 years.

She established her own company in 1996, is a past Vice-Chairman of the BIID (BIDA), past Chairman of the BIDA Charitable Foundation and a Professional Member of the IIDA. She has featured frequently in interiors publications, writes occasional magazine features and lectures on the professional practise of Interior Design.

“Almost all projects, whatever their size, divide into the same three stages.”

Time spent in planning a project is never wasted. The brief is vital to the project, and whether it is for soft furnishing a single room, refurbishing an existing property or building a brand new home it is vital to include as much as possible in the original scope of work.

The design stage involves gathering information ready for pricing.  Some clients want to be very much involved whilst others prefer an arms length approach.   Client meetings can take place throughout this stage on site, at our offices or visiting showrooms and suppliers.

Once the scope of work and costs have been approved the implementation stage can begin.  The building work and interior decoration will happen in tandem, and we will always be open about the amount of time they should take.
